Shoalhaven Hospital are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Clinician to join the team.

This is a Temporary Part Time position at 8 hours per week up to 27 October 2021, for the backfill of the incumbent on Reduced Hours. This Temporary contract may be extended.

The successful applicant will be required to work every Wednesday.

What You'll Be Doing

To provide for the coordination, delivery and evaluation of clinical nurse education (including programs) at the ward/unit level. Such education may include orientation and/or transitioning for new nursing staff and casual nurses as well as meeting the ongoing educational needs of existing nursing staff and supporting the clinical placement of students.

The Clinical Nurse Educator will work in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager and wider hospital team to develop, implement and evaluate clinical education programs relevant to the specialty, provide clinical supervision at point of care and an ongoing focus on quality and safety.

Selection Criteria

  • Current relevant registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Holds a relevant clinical or education post registration qualification and/or extensive relevant clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching in the health care environment utilising adult learning principles.
  • Demonstrated experience as a clinical facilitator and preceptor.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality and safety frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ongoing commitment to own professional development.
