Food Services Assistant
STATUS: Part Time, Ongoing
HOURS: 20.0 hours per fortnight
DEPARTMENT: Maddocks Gardens Aged Care
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer focused individual with food service experience to join our Aged Care team.
Maddocks Gardens is a purpose built 90 bed complex combining BRHS high, low and respite care residential services. Food Service Assistants at BRHS are required to follow task lists accurately and demonstrate flexibility and willingness to meet the food service requirements of the organisation whilst operating within the requirements of the BRHS Food Safety Plan.
The successful candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills and enjoy working in a team to ensure the provision of a quality food service to our aged care facility and the wider hospital community as required.
A requirement of this role is availability to work over 7 days a week, including public holidays and flexibility to perform a variety of shifts.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the key selection criteria as listed in the position description. Key requirements include:
- Current Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Previous experience in food preparation and/or service.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- An understanding of the principles of confidentiality.
- Proven ability to work cooperatively as part of a cohesive and supportive team.
- Willingness and ability to provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders.
- Physical capacity to undertake routine lifting and pushing.
