Senior Program Officer
- Temporary opportunity, salary starting from $115,331 + superannuation
- Exciting opportunity to support the Sustainable Planning and Strategy team
- Location: Parramatta, Gosford or Newcastle
About the Role:
This role works with a wide range of internal and external government stakeholders to support integrated environmental outcomes through the NSW planning system. The Senior Program Officer role will provide expert advice on interactions between the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and other environmental legislation, lead policy development on emerging issues and identify strategic opportunities for improvement in regulation and process.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will be a highly motivated individual who can manage high volumes and competing deadlines. You will have a strong and applied understanding of current environmental legislation, policy and trends. You will have sound knowledge of project management and policy development processes. Strong communication, collaboration and negotiation skills are essential to this role. You will be consulting, providing advice and influencing diverse stakeholders to achieve environmental outcomes through the NSW planning system.
