Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing The Program Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of gastroenterology and hepatology services including oversight of business administration, financial management, recruitment and aspects of HR management.
This position will provide leadership in service delivery, optimisation of resource management, facilitate service planning, oversee quality management and patient safety policies and processes, ensure there is effective communication within and external to the department and encourage and facilitate research and teaching.
The position will drive the financial and operational performance for the service.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Relevant Tertiary qualification and /or equivalent extensive proven experience in a substantial and complex organisation engaged in service delivery
  2. Proven management expertise at a senior level within a healthcare environment
  3. High level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated capacity to develop Strategic Plans, briefs and reports and the ability to communicate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders on diverse matters.

  5. Sound experience in finance and resource management within a health environment.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work in a high volume and demanding environment with a proven capacity to organise and prioritise to meet deadlines.
  7. High level computer skills, including related experience in using clinical systems. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications is essential.
