Manning Hospital - Wingham Hospital


Idyllically situated on the Manning River, Taree is surrounded by rich rural farmland and home to 27,000 residents and the Manning Hospital. Only 15 minutes away is Wingham, the oldest town in the Manning Valley and is surrounded by rich farmland, national forest, affordable housing and is home to nearly 3000 residents and the Wingham Hospital.

About the role:
This position will see you joining a supportive team of Social Workers who work together to provide direct support services to patients, families and carers, and to assist patients with the impact of illness and treatment. This is a generalist Social Worker position and is responsible for Social Work service provision at Wingham Hospital and other areas of Manning Hospital, as required. This role will see you utilise a variety of social work intervention; including psychosocial assessment, case planning/coordination, empowerment, advocacy, case conference, education sessions, referrals and consultations with community agencies. You will be supported by your Social Work colleagues and your direct line Manager.
