Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a dynamic Patient and Family Experience Quality and Safety Manager to join our Special Health Accommodation team!

Do you have a Degree in relevant health related field or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience, with relevant Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration if required?

Do you have demonstrated understanding of the concepts and processes of Integrated Clinical Governance (Patient Safety, Complaints, and Quality Improvement) and experience in Root Cause Analysis and established track record in their application in a healthcare environment?

Working in the SLHD Special Health Accommodation (SHA) Nursing workforce is an opportunity to be part of the critical response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Patient and Family Experience Quality and Safety Manager, is multi-graded, Nurse Manager, Health Service Manager and Allied Health position to support the IIMs, ensure quality and safety, and provide support including high level brief/ministerial writing for the SHA General Manager.

The purpose of this is position is to provide leadership across the Drug Health Services district program that ensures the principles of Patient Safety and Quality Improvement are embedded at an organisational level with the aim of providing high quality, cost effective, and safe patient care in accordance with Ministry Of Health (MoH) Policies.

The Patient Safety and Quality Manager must demonstrate the necessary degree of clinical knowledge, expertise, and experience to influence and guide senior clinicians and will provide leadership, authority, and delegation to influence clinical practice changes in relation to Patient Safety and Quality issues across Drug Health Services.

The position also manages oversight of Drug Health Services policies and monitors distribution of MoH and SLHD policies relevant to Drug Health Services.

  • Current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 Licence acceptable).
