Your new company
Well established and highly successful Hospitality business in Sydney is seeking an experienced HR Manager - HR Generalist to take on a hands on operationally focused fixed term contract to cover a parental leave for nine months to start ASAP.

Your new role
This is a stand alone HR Manager position supporting a local GM and a mix of permanent and casual workforce of 150 – 450 staff. All employees are either office management in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Events, IT etc or they are a mix of casual hospitality and events employees on a casual basis.

You will be responsible for all HR activities for the business and will include:

  • Recruitment – head office and casual hiring
  • Onboarding and inductions
  • Performance management advice, coaching through performance reviews and discussions
  • ER and IR advice provision including work place investigations, grievances
  • EBA and award interpretation
  • Performance appraisals
  • HR policy and process development
  • Training coordination, facilitation and any leadership coaching
  • Engagement and cultural activities including staff events and internal communication
  • WHS and supporting staff on RTW and post COVID safety
  • Compliance, visa checking and HR process improvement
  • Staff events and culture and engagement initiatives
  • HR administration including contracts, reporting and any HR database updates

The business is now busier after the impact of COVID on the sector and they are a committed, loyal and dedicated workforce who are passionate about their brand, company and what they do and offer the public. A key area will be recruitment and onboarding of a wider variety of new employees for many different areas and running recruitment campaigns.

This role offers full time hours or can consider 4 days per week and is mainly office based work due to needs of the business.

What you'll need to succeed
You will an experienced HR Generalist, HR Manager, be hands on, and enjoy getting fully involved in the business. Someone who likes a fast paced every changing culture and thrives in this kind of industry where no two days are the same. It’s a fun and diverse culture and needs someone who is happy to draft a contract as well as advise the leadership team on strategic workforce planning, engagement, ER and provide leadership guidance. Knowledge and experience of working on Hotels, Hospitality, Entertainment, Travel or Tourism will be very beneficial.

What you'll get in return
Salary is 100 - 110K base + super. There is free parking and other staff benefits. This a great business with exciting times ahead in 2021. Start date is ASAP
