Your new company
Our client is a Government agency branch who generally looks after a range of new build, maintenance and capital works projects. They also have a team looking after acquisitions and disposals who are currently busy across a range of projects throughout QLD. They are looking to employ a Native Title Assessment Officer to their team to manage and provide recommendations on Property dealings and tenure matters. Our client is offering an attractive hourly rate in line with market demands on a 12 month contract.

Your new role
As a Native Title Assessment Officer in this State Government team, you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in a range of high level and complex projects, providing relevant property and legal advice. You’ll have a range or responsibilities based around providing specialist responses to title assessment reports, including researching and retrieving data from archive sources to establish accurate and up-to date reports in line with relevant legislation. You will be working in a supportive Property team to assist you with the workload.

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you will have previous experience in assessing and reporting on native title assessments, as well as experience in analysing historical land tenure. The skillset required for this role focus on primarily on a property and legal background, with exposure to standard Government Land Management Systems such as QNTIME, ATS, GLR, and SMARTMAP very beneficial. A requirement that sets this role apart is the high-level working knowledge of the Queensland Government’s Native Title Work Procedures that is required to succeed. This role might suit a property/legal professional who has worked closely within the Queensland Government’s Native Title Work Procedures and who is looking for a long term contract.
