Due to an increase in work for our telecommunications business, we now have a requirement for an experienced Training Coordinator to work on our NBN Unify Activations Project.

As a trusted delivery partner of The National Broadband Network, Lendlease provides end-to-end technology solutions in the rollout of one of the largest and most challenging infrastructure projects in Australia today. 

Lendlease’s Services business is a specialist maintenance and asset management contractor that provides services to the roads, water, telecommunications, power, industrial, remediation and renewable energy sectors. Services is responsible for creating, operating and maintaining public and private infrastructure which services millions of people every day and keeps communities connected and running.

The Training coordinator is responsible for preparing and the delivery of training packages, coordinate the delivery of training programs to develop employee competencies in line with business needs. Perform and execute L&D activities and/or the delivery of programs that contribute to L&D and business priorities. Contributes to the design and/or delivery of learning and development programs in line with business, organisational and compliance requirements. 

 Major responsibilities include:

  • Ensure training is coordinated to meet the business, client, government and regulatory requirements 

  • Coordination and administration of keeping training records 

  • Responsible for identification and coordination of training to meet statutory requirements 

  • Ensure training is delivered to an accredited standard to meet business needs 

  • Ensure training activities are communicated to managers and supervisors. 

  • Liaise with industry associations and training organisations to ensure the best delivery of training.

  • Ensure training is delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Maintain training records 

  • Maintain Training Matrix 

  • Ensure training database is maintained and system audited 

  • Work with HR to communicate and coordinate learning programs 

  • Ensure personnel records are maintained and stored in a secure manner 

  • Work closely with various internal groups to understand business requirements, implement new processes and contribute to ongoing process improvements 

  • Provide support throughout the recruitment process including arranging pre-employment compliance requirements 

  • Ensure New starter processes are completed 

  • Conduct induction program for new employee as required 

To be successful in this position you’ll be a self-starter with solid leadership skills and demonstrated experience working within the telecommunications industry. Your exceptional interpersonal skills and collaborative nature will help you develop authentic relationships with clients and stakeholders. Ability to multi-task between various regions and projects whilst providing strong, consistent direction to project team colleagues and staff is key. You will also have: 

  • Business administration, Cert IV in Training & Assessment or associated qualification 

  • Training administration experience in a Telecommunications environment
