This is an appointment for Fixed Term Part Time appointment for 5 years at 64 hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s).

Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.

Position Profile: The Consultant - Padiatric - Intensive Care,as part of a multidisciplinary team, provides specialist medical/surgical services to patients. The role promotes patient quality and safety and provides leadership, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training and other health workers in collaboration with other Consultants and the Clinical Director/Head of Department. The position also works within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the Health Service Credentialing Committee.

The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) aims to ensure that the children and young people of Western Australia get the best start in life through health promotion; early intervention; and patient centred, family-focused care.

CAHS employs over 4000 people and provides services throughout the community within metropolitan Perth; operating the State’s only dedicated Tertiary Paediatric Hospital (Perth Children’s Hospital); providing specialised state wide services; as well as providing support to other hospitals and health services across Western Australia.
