About the role

1 North is a 32-bed ward that incorporates a 10-bed stroke unit, orthopaedic, neurological and general patients who require rehabilitation following an acute episode of care.

On 1 North, staff involvement is actively sought to ensure the continued development of a cohesive, multidisciplinary team that is committed to excellence in patient care.

Rehabilitation experience is an advantage but it is not essential as this position will allow you to enhance your professional development in a supportive environment.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • Competence in clinical practice congruent with your level of qualification an experience
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and reflective practice
  • Organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously and within nursing and interdisciplinary teams
  • High level written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills with consumers, their families and health care professionals
  • Ability to manage conflict whilst maintaining professional conduct and resolution focus
  • Computer literacy with common Microsoft platforms and patient management systems
  • Current Nursing registration with AHPRA
