This vacancy is maternity leave relief for an initial period of up to 37 weeks for up to 38 hours per week; the hours and period of employment may change according to the maternity leave requirements. There is also the possibility of an extension at same / reduced hours.

Providing comprehensive and appropriate Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention as an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team for patients of the Home Based Rehabilitation Service, Northern NSW Local Health District.

Selection criteria
  • Relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration as an Occupational Therapist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). To be appointed as a Level 2 Health Professional evidence must be provided of three years' clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a range of clinical Occupational Therapy services within the scope of practice of the position.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilise problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care.
  • Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work/caseload.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of person-centred care, quality improvement and evidence based practice.
  • Valid unrestricted drivers’ licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
