The Opportunity

Monash Careers offers a broad range of co-curricular and extra-curricular programs designed to create transformative opportunities for students to acquire the experience, skills and attributes that optimise their employability, global citizenship and community engagement; smooth their transition from study to employment, and enable them to manage their careers in a global and rapidly evolving employment market.

The Program Coordinator - Careers is responsible for delivering a range of career advisory services and support to students, with the aim of optimising student engagement, satisfaction and employment success. The Program Coordinator - Careers is also a key liaison point between Monash students, and various internal and external stakeholders. The position works closely with these groups to ensure the timely and successful delivery of programs to support student outcomes.

Some main responsibilities the successful incumbent will be responsible for are: * Development and delivery of workshops in relation to job application readiness and interview skills, together with the provision of resources and tips to help students build their attractiveness to future employers
  • Undertake a range of high-level project and program coordination duties, including working with faculties and other stakeholders to scope and plan career development programs and deliverables, monitoring and reporting against budget, timeframes and other performance indicators
  • Plan, undertake and oversee project and program related tasks, ensuring they are completed in accordance with agreed standards and timeframes
  • Undertake research, analyse results, investigate options and provide recommended solutions to complex career program related issues
The incumbent will have a degree in a relevant field or extensive experience in a careers or employment-related field. Applicants from recruitment and careers advisory backgrounds will be well regarded.
