About the role

No day will be the same in this fast paced and exciting role within the Holcim team. As our Concrete Scheduler, you will be responsible for ensuring on time deliveries while optimising our extensive fleet. As the main point of contact for drivers and plant staff and to ensure customer service requirements are achieved, you will need to have your eyes on the ball at all times to respond to an agile and dynamic environment.

The successful applicant will be the point of contact for drivers and plant staff to ensure customer service requirements are achieved with on time and efficient deliveries of concrete by central scheduling of the fleet whilst reacting to jobsite and demand changes.

You will be dealing with a wide range of people from labourers to project managers, this fast paced role combines enquiries over the phone, 2-way and email.

You will have a positive attitude, attention to detail and desire to offer the best customer service experience to our customers.
  • Ensure efficient and effective daily scheduling and oversee dispatching of deliveries to meet customer service requirements.
  • Work with other schedulers, plant teams and drivers to ensure right load into right truck to right job.
  • Attend customer sites to meet main point of contact and assess any potential access or safety issues.
  • Liaison with plant staff, Account Managers & Site Coordinators to ensure best possible customer service and ensure individual customer requirements are achieved.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of assigned products, services and plant capabilities.
  • Responsible for all fleet scheduling & ensuring delivery requirements until jobs are complete.
  • Engage with & coach other schedulers where required for continuous improvement for scheduling & planning.
  • Capture and maintain cycle times, service interruptions to ensure continuous improvement of service levels.
  • Constant awareness of daily truck unavailability and adjust scheduling to meet customer needs. Escalate dealing with truck unavailability to the Scheduling Supervisor.

  • Understanding of the construction / concrete industry of value but not essential
