JOB DESCRIPTION

We are introducing a concierge service at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital.

The concierge staff will play an important role in ensuring the Hospital Reception is attended 7 days a week from 7.45 am - 8.15 pm. Concierge staff will provide informaiton and way finding around the Hospital Campus. The part time position is 21 hours per week and includes working alternate weekends.

We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic people to join our Concierge Team. You will need to have a warm and friendly manner with a focus on customer service and an ability to provide a professional, courtesou, efficient service to the visitors and staff at the Hospital.

What you'll be doing

The primary purpose of the Concierge role is to provide highly efficient and effective reception and undertake a broad range of Client services including greeting patients and carers, visitors, hospital staff and volunteers on arrival and departure from the Hospital. Success in the role will require the officer to be patient focused and passionate about delivering a friendly and courteous experience to patients, visitors and staff every day.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service working in a frontline position or working directly with the public
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, ability to prioritise tasks
  • Competent computer user – hardware and software, including database and word processing programs, Powerchart
  • Friendly, courteous, kind and caring communication skills and ability to pass on clear and succinct messages
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and being a helpful team member
  • Demonstrated experience addressing/de-escalating unhappy customers
  • Understanding patient confidentiality in a hospital setting
