To be considered for this role you will need to be available to work until 10pm for close shifts, with Friday night availability preferred during the weekdays. As our store trades 7 days a week you will be rostered to work a mix of day, evening and weekend shifts (from 8am-10pm) with close shifts predominantly on offer for this role, and have availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends. You must also hold a valid security licence or be willing and eligible to obtain one.

Key responsibilities (title) YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities (text) As a Safety & Security Co-worker, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Maintaining and seeking ways to continually improve on a safe and secure environment for our customers, visitors and co-workers.
  • Assist in ensuring the store is compliant with all IKEA and local rules, guidelines and legislative requirements, in order to protect our assets and the IKEA brand.
  • As the first point of contact, managing visitors, contractors and co-worker access to and from the store, and providing administrative support with tasks such as audits, incident reporting, database management and filing.
  • Monitoring and reviewing CCTV, conducting investigations, responding quickly and efficiently to alarms and initiating emergency response procedures if required.
This is a permanent part time role offering 40 hours per fortnight.
