About the position

3Bridges Community is currently recruiting for Aboriginal Support Workers to work in Greater Metropolitan Sydney area as Aboriginal Community Support Workers working with Elders and community members with a disability.

Positions Available

Support Workers providing social support 1 to 1, social support groups and support in the home.Support Workers providing domestic assistance for clients in their own home.

Essential experience or skills

  • Demonstrated experience in working with vulnerable people who are frail aged or have a disability.
  • Aboriginality is a genuine requirement for this position.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who have had contact with the criminal justice system and diagnosed mental health.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working as part of a team.
  • Current unrestricted Australian driver’s license and own registered motor vehicle with CTP insurance.
  • An understanding of Work Health Safety issues.
  • Ability to work flexibly and work in the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area.

Desirable criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in providing services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander NDIS or Home Care Package clients.
  • First Aid certificate.
