Ventia are currently seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their Defence Fuel Services team based in Darwin, NT providing supporting through-out the Northern Territory region. The successful candidate will provide support and direction for the delivery of maintenance services across Defence Fuel Installations and associated assets; supervising a multidisciplinary team and appropriate subcontractors. You can be expected to assist in the planning & work programming; providing skilled technical and management advice and assistance to project team members, and managers of other work teams whose tasks may feed in or depend on completion of the assigned projects; applying for all permits and consents required for the projects within the necessary timelines.

Primary Responsibilities

Plan and execute ‘planned maintenance’ in accordance with DFI MI
Ensure trade team and contractors are adhering to Venita / DOD safety management policies
Delivery of non-technical and technical reactive maintenance, including self-preformed AP/S&Q works (including projects)
Take Technical direction of works t0 be conducted from FTO
Escalate Asset/Planning /Scheduling issues to FTO
Assigning and scheduling works using ‘WO Manager’. (UI5/Rapido)
Ensure 100% on time performance is maintained on all PM tasks
Coordinate servicing and maintenance on Ventia owned plant and equipment
Maintain inventory of consumable materials
Raising and Goods Receipting Purchase Orders for materials and contractor works
Approving and logging of wages timesheets and leave requests
Coordinate trade team travel and accommodation
Raising reactive service orders
Logging ‘asset notification’ for new, replaced and disposed of assets.
Reporting safety incidents through Beams and FIR
Hold planning meetings with stakeholders

Key Experiences & Skills

Relevant trade qualification and experience in Hydrocarbons industry.
Working and managing a hazardous area environment
Demonstrated supervision, leadership and organisational skills.
Demonstrated experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level.
Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
Demonstrated written communication and IT skills.
An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
