Salary: SOGB $101,668 to $118,142 pa + entitlements

The newly created Governance, Risk and Compliance team is responsible for implementing and managing the governance, risk & compliance frameworks for the NLC. We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join the team in the Risk Project Officer role.

This position is required to monitor and administer the NLC’s risk framework, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, prepare reports, provide input into the development of policies and provide training to create a strong culture of risk management across the organisation.

Law or business qualification at degree level, or sufficient experience in risk management and risk interpreting legislation and its application.

Applicants will need to demonstrate well-developed skills in interpersonal and cross-cultural communications. Applicants should have knowledge of the NLC and the context in which it operates, including the cultural, political, economic and social issues affecting Aboriginal people in the NT.

A willingness to undertake travel and to work in remote communities, as well as possession of a current driver’s licence and the ability to safely drive manual vehicles is essential.
