JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Summary:

The Head of Female Program & Player Engagement for the Northern Rivers Football Academy (NRFA) will ensure that young females in the region have the opportunity to participate in a professionally managed high-performance program, designed to provide growth and development as well as offer a pathway within football.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of NRFA Female Football
  • Deliver regular coaching sessions in both the development and high-performance programs
  • Manage female squads on match day
  • Support and mentor assistant coaches within the female program
  • Provide development opportunities for all female players
  • Explores opportunities in school environments to establish and support female football programs
  • Identify key stakeholders involved in female football and liaise with them to build awareness, share knowledge and encourage ongoing involvement.
  • Manage and promote all NRFA female football marketing, social media and sponsorships.
  • Plan and implement of Female Football Week activities
  • Coordinate friendlies, tournaments and carnivals as required.
  • Work with the Operations Manager to develop a strategic plan to develop and grow the NRFA Female Program
  • Interpret, implement and comply with professional codes of practice, legislation and regulations related to delivery of NRFA programs.

Work Requirements:

  • A valid Driver’s Licence (Interstate travel)
  • Will be required to start and finish work outside of normal business hours and work overtime when required.
  • Working with Children Check clearance and, if required, QLD Blue Card or relevant state-based equivalent. (essential)

Selection criteria:

  • Valid football licence from a Federation Internationale Football Association (FIFA) affiliated international football federation.
  • Valid English Football Association (FA) coaching qualification
  • EPL club youth academy program coach accreditation (essential)
  • Minimum 3 years’ coaching and leadership experience within a female youth football program, either within Australia or internationally (essential)
  • Diploma in Leadership & Management or equivalent (essential)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and sustaining female football programs
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of people including children.
  • Demonstrated experience using social media platforms for marketing purposes
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.

 Salary: $54,000.00plus superannuation
