We are looking for an Operations Manager, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS). This role will ideally be based in Melbourne and is offered on a full-time basis. You will collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement initiatives that support effective strategy execution and high-performing support functions and will ensure that a practice wide view and consistency in execution is achieved and maintained across FAAS.

Your key responsibilities

  • Act as a central contact point for the leadership team on operational issues or queries

  • Coordinate, facilitate, and attend regular meetings of the FAAS leadership team (Partners, Markets Leaders, People Leaders, Operations Leaders, Knowledge Leaders)

  • Work with Finance to support the budgeting and forecasting processes ensuring accuracy, challenging anomalies, keeping stakeholders informed on issues and areas for intervention

  • Work with Talent Team to drive effective annual performance management and salary setting processes, ensuring consistency across all parts of the practice.

  • Oversee the effective operation of the FAAS Resource Management Team in consultation with Resource Managers ensuring that all scheduling practices maximise efficient engagement management and team leverage to ensure optimum financial outcomes for the business

  • Drive the revenue planning process for the region ensuring all deliverables are achieved

  • Drive operational goals and support the mid and full-year review process

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • A minimum of five years business experience in a similar role

  • Well-developed leadership and change management skills

  • A proven track record of developing and delivering on initiatives

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain key working relationships

  • High organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task

  • Be self-motivated, agile, and solution-oriented
