HSE Advisor (Offshore Drilling) - Bayu Undan - 7 month contract

About the Company

Chandler Macleod, in collaboration with Santos, are currently seeking x2 experienced HSE Advisors (Offshore Drilling) to provide operational health, safety, and environmental advice on day to day basis; attend pre-tour, JSA and HSE meetings and rig daily calls in the role of advisor or facilitator to improve the quality by bringing specialist or expert HSE guidance to the facility.

Have experience in a similar role (offshore O&G Project)
Be currently residing in Australia (Due to Covid-19 & Mobilisation requirements)
Have the legal right to live and work in Australia
Current & Valid OGUK Medical, TBOSIET, CAEBS

About the Role

Coordinate, conduct, and/or participate in inspections to assess the adequacy of management controls and to identify areas for improvement.
Achieve compliance and provide internal assurance that HSE risks are being managed, inspections are conducted on a frequent basis to review compliance with our systems, those of the Drilling Contractor, and Service Companies.
Provide support and guidance to Santos contract owner in assuring contractors performing works for Santos meet company contractor management requirements throughout the scope of work.
Conduct weekly and monthly environmental inspections as per the Environment Plan (compliance register of the Environmental Performance Outcomes and Environmental Performance Standards).
Produce daily HSE reports as a snapshot of metrics gathered such as drill completions, marine fauna interactions etc
Assist, as directed, in the reporting of notifiable incidents or dangerous occurrences to Legislative Bodies/Regulators within mandated timeframes.
Input into Incident Reporting System (EHS Toolbox).
Conduct Environmental Induction specific to Environment Plan with all personnel joining the MODU.

About You

Recognized qualification in safety, health and environment or related fields
Minimum 5-7 years hydrocarbon industry experience, preferably on MODUs.
Experience working in operations, exploration and logistics, in onshore, offshore and remote areas.
Working experience in HSE management systems, Safety Case, Environment Plan, WOMPs.
Conversant with Commonwealth, State and Territory HSE Legislation.
Have good knowledge of quality and safety management principles e.g. ISM
Causal Analysis Investigation Training i.e. TapRoot®.
Internal / External Auditor training.
Report writing.
