Are you a Social Work/Welfare, Psychology or Counselling student in your final semester?

Apply now to become a Child Protection Caseworker for the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) upon completion of your degree.

Opportunities in: Bankstown, Bowral, Campbelltown, Fairfield, Ingleburn, and Liverpool.

DCJ aims to transform the lives of vulnerable children by recruiting and developing outstanding individuals to be leaders in Child Protection practice.

At DCJ, we develop industry leading Caseworkers to work with vulnerable children and young people at risk of abuse and neglect, while working with communities, peers and building interagency partnerships. As a DCJ Caseworker, you will become an agent of change in the lives of children.

Being a Caseworker can be challenging yet rewarding. It takes a unique individual who is tenacious and passionate about making a difference!

To Become a Caseworker You Will Have

  • a valid Australian driver’s licence and willingness to drive,
  • the right to work in South Western Sydney,
  • a NSW Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain),
  • completed your Bachelor’s degree or higher within the next 3 months.

If your application is successful, you will be invited to attend an assessment. If you are successful through our recruitment process, you will be eligible for Caseworker opportunities once you have completed your degree.
