Ridley AgriProducts is the leading producer of high quality, high performance animal solutions in Australia.

We are currently seeking four experienced Production Operators to join the CSF Proteins division based at Laverton. In return for you skills and commitment, CSF Proteins offers a supportive team environment, great culture and excellent benefits.

The Laverton site is a large automated processing plant with multiple production lines operating continuously 24 hours a day and up to 6 days a week.

The Role

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the rotating shift position works night, afternoon and day shifts on a three-week rotation. It requires adherence to standard operating procedures. All duties must be performed safely, to the required standard and with consideration to the environment.

The key responsibilities for this position include:
Behaving in a manner in keeping with the Ridley Values, which demonstrates care for others and Ridley product and property.
Following the required HSE, HACCP and operational procedures to safely and efficiently operate the plant.
Maintaining the work place in good order by applying good housekeeping procedures
Starting the process by completing a combination of manual and automated tasks
Monitoring the operation of the process and adjusting process settings, to the extent authorised, to manufacture product to site targets.
Closing down the process including washing and cleaning as required.
Taking samples and perform quality tests as required
Accurately completing relevant check sheets particularly in relation to waste water treatment and other production records.
Monitoring the operation of individual plant items, including being able to identify abnormal operating conditions and take corrective action as required.
Reporting to the plant supervision problems that may affect safety, the integrity of the plant, the quality of product or risk to the environment beyond the scope of authorised corrective action
Moving materials by hand or powered mobile plant
Participating actively in training and personal development

The key requirements of this role include:
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Sound knowledge of OH&S and Environmental procedures.
Current Drivers license;
Basic computing skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Effective communication skills in English
Enforce/follow safety rules
Ability to work as an individual and also cooperatively as part of a team
Mechanical Aptitude
Physically fit
Be able to work overtime if requested and regularly on Saturdays.The following items are looked on favorably.
Current Forklift license;
5+years Industry Experience (History working with manufacturing)
Familiar with computer process control systems
