The Office of Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery (OMTID) currently has a Procurement Officer role available for 3 years with the possibility of extensions. Apart from this role we are seeking to establish a pool of Procurement Officers which will be open for 12 months, from which future fixed term appointments with possible extensions will be made.

As a Procurement Officer, you will be working in the Division responsible for delivering METRONET's high value and high complex major transport projects. As one of the largest single investments in public transport the city has seen, METRONET will help positively change how people live and travel in Perth.

You will be responsible for providing procurement support for the establishment of low to medium risk contracts for OMTID, which includes the review and compliance checks for procurement documents as well as coordinating actions required between the Office of Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery (OMTID) and the PTA Procurement Branch. The position also provides advice and assistance in low to medium risk procurement to OMTID personnel.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience in RFQ/tender and contract development and contract administration, including the preparation of reports and contractual documentation.
  • Experience in contract administration using finance, purchasing and contract management systems.
  • Undertakes market research and prepares clear, concise and complete quotation and tender documentation for straightforward requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract administration including the preparation of reports and contractual documentation.
  • Sound knowledge of government procurement and contracting policies, practices and legislative requirements.
