JOB DESCRIPTION

Dandenong Emergency Department is now looking for Endorsed Nurse Practitioners with experience in Emergency Medicine to join in the delivery of patient centred care.

About our Emergency Services at Monash Health


Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialities.


Our Emergency Departments (ED) treat over 200,000 emergency patients a year at Monash Medical Centre Clayton campus, Dandenong Hospital and Casey Hospital. Patients have access to a full range of treatment options, including intensive care.


We currently have permanent full time and part time opportunities for endorsed Nurse Practitioners (NP) in Dandenong Emergency Departments:



  • Dandenong Hospital – Acute ED treating both adult and paediatric patients. Onsite access to ICU, medical, surgical, trauma, mental health, orthopaedics, plastics, paediatrics and women’s health ranging from start of life to end of life care.


About our Nurse Practitioner roles:

What you need:



  • Endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)

  • Completion of Masters of Nurse Practitioner qualification or relevant equivalent which includes an approved Therapeutic Medication Module

  • Experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Emergency Departments

  • Enthusiasm, compassion and ability to work collaboratively

  • Outstanding communication, stakeholder engagement and problem resolution skills

  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively consult to deliver outcomes

  • commitment to being accountable and to support our relentless pursuit of excellence

  • Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster

  • Current AHPRA registration

  • Current Employee Working with Children Check

  • Australian working rights
