Multiple Finance and Administration Officers with extensive SAP experience required to join NSW State Government in Newcastle commencing ASAP

  • $300-$320 per day + Super | 40hours per week
  • NSW State Government | Newcastle Location
  • ASAP Start | Estimated 12 month temp assignment

Our large NSW State Government client serves the community by leading the provision of world-class education, connecting all stages from early childhood to tertiary qualifications across the NSW community. They are currently seeking multiple experienced Financial Administration Officers to join their growing team in Newcastle. This is an estimated 12 month temp assignment, with a strong potential to extend.

Working within the Infrastructure Division, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of administrative and financial support to the Asset Management Units to achieve Departmental objectives

In this role, your duties will include but won’t be limited to the following:

  • Deliver professional customer service, answering enquiries in a timely and accurate manner
  • Redirect enquiries to the appropriate persons to ensure timely responses
  • Provide a wide range of financial and administrative support services to the Asset Management Unit
  • Generating routine financial reports and spreadsheets
  • Track, register and manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Manage and maintain registers
  • Records and database management, ensuring accuracy, integrity and confidentiality
  • Update and maintain manuals and reports to support the activities of the business unit
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities
  • Support the team on adhoc duties
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements

To secure this rewarding opportunity, you will have the following:

  • Demonstrated financial administration experience within a highly transactional environment
  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Public Sector experience highly advantageous
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite, TRIM and SAP
  • Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Solid analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Reliable remote internet access
  • Valid Drivers licence and own transport
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check and a Valid Working With Childrens Check
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
