This role is part of the Marketing function in Australia/ASP Region, reporting into the Regional HUB with a dotted line into the newly appointed Senior Marketing Manager B2B / Marketing Services. The role forms part of the new local vertical of Brand / Marketing Shared Services (including Partnerships & B2B). The Marketing function focuses on understanding present and future customer needs, identification of market opportunities, development and execution of marketing strategies, and programmes. The ultimate goal is to drive improvements in HSBC brand equity and contribute to customer growth, revenue growth, increase customer value and satisfaction in order to meet agreed objectives and key results.

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to support the creation of the HSBC brand strategy, brand activity runway and brand measurement approach for demonstrating brand as an investment in driving business growth
  • This role will support the development of HSBC’s Brand Social Media Strategy, lead the implementation of that strategy and support local market execution, optimisation and development across all Social Media Channels and audiences.
  • Geographical Remit is of the Australian market with support to wider ASP region
  • The role holder is responsible to both B2B and B2C businesses in achieving their brand vision and objectives through marketing activity.


Responsibilities
  • To support the continued development of customer led, insight driven, locally relevant business driving brand strategies across the ASP region, with specific attention on Australia.
  • Collaborate with Reputation and Corporate Sustainability on key programmes to ensure these are all building to and supportive of our brand vision and purpose.
  • Build close relationships with the Group & regional Brand & Partnerships team to share best practice and fuse together strategies, insights and measurement approaches in to coherent regional brand strategies.
  • Actively contribute to a culture of effectiveness and performance around our brand across all touchpoints
  • Work closely with a broad range of agency partners (creative, media, activation and events) to bring brand strategy in to action in a coherent manner
  • Develop new and innovative ways to ensure that customer insight is at the heart of our local brand strategies
  • Collaborating with Group Social Media team and Regional team to share best practice and to escalate local needs/opportunities to influence Group strategy.
  • Designing and producing brand content for paid and owned channels as well as for RM sales enablement
  • Act as the Community Manager for all social media channels in HSBC Australia, which includes responsibilities around governance, reporting, working group attendance and being the main point ot contact for escalations from the social media customer service team


Requirements
  • Minimum 7+ years of marketing experience, preferably in a financial services / retail banking environment (ideally brand/social media/content development).
  • Modern Marketing professional with understanding of latest developments in the marketing and media world.

  • Understand the use of data and analytics in deriving customer value
  • Be passionate about the customer and be obsessed with customer outcomes
  • Degree level qualification in marketing and/or business studies preferred.
