This role is part of the Global Marketing function and is focused on supporting the strategic and revenue growth priorities of two Global Businesses: Commercial Banking (CMB) and Global Banking & Markets (GBM). The function focuses on understanding customers and the identification, development and execution of marketing strategies, campaigns and activities that support and strengthen the HSBC brand, support the drive for revenue and increase customer value and satisfaction in order to meet agreed targets and objectives at both a global and market level.

The job holder is responsible for implementing marketing activities, content driven campaigns and digital activities to increase client engagement and to support the achievement of revenue growth targets for the CMB and GBM businesses in Australia. In addition, the job holder will be involved with ensuring marketing are the voice of the customer, through supporting research and insights activities and reviewing / developing customer communications.

Responsibilities

  • Local activation of global brand and content driven campaigns including implementation and securing necessary approvals.
  • Management of a local content calendar and development of local content including: thought leadership articles, client case studies and product content
  • Execution of digital activities including: LinkedIn campaigns and activities, eDM campaigns and newsletters
  • Provide support for eDM invitations to global sponsorship and local event programs including post event follow up
  • Ongoing management of the website ensuring all content is up-to-date and approved and provide updates as needed.
  • Measure all campaign activities to ensure they meet the agreed campaign objectives and report post implementation in line with the agreed Effectiveness process.
  • Adhere to the Governance framework and ensure all local and regional approvals and processes are followed.


Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years broad based business experience, ideally within a Financial Services based institution
  • Degree level of qualification in business studies and marketing preferred
  • A range of Brand and Marketing Communications planning and operational experience
  • Experience with digital marketing channels
  • Experience of working with and managing agencies
  • Good understanding of communication developments and emerging consumer and industry trends
  • Proven ability to work on multi function projects demonstrating excellent relationship building skills
  • Commitment to putting the customer at the heart of all development and implementation activities
