Your Opportunity

We are currently seeking Expressions of interest from Planning and Controls Managers for the VIC/TAS Business Unit of CPB Contractors. This role would develop project controls strategies, ensuring best practice implementation at Project Start-up and ongoing compliance with processes.

As Planning and Controls Manager, you will be accountable for:

  • Developing and implementing project controls strategies in line with the CPB Group strategy
  • Driving best practice in relation to project controls, redefining and driving change to create value for the Business Unit
  • Acting as a senior subject matter expert, providing expert advice to projects and input into tenders
  • Create consistency and alignment of methodology, tools and processes across the Business Unit
  • Building and maintaining productive relationships with the stakeholders in the Business Unit and other Project Control Teams across the wider CPB Group.
  • Assist projects at start up stage to set up their project control systems and processes
  • Trouble shoot on projects as required
  • Train project staff on the use of relevant systems and correct processes that need to be put in place
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Group policies and processes
  • Demonstrating a personal commitment to the SHE Cultural framework and championing a culture that prioritises safety.
Our Minimum Requirements For This Role Are
  • Extensive project controls experience supported by relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience working for a top tier contractor on large construction projects
  • Experience providing input into tenders and projects
  • High level influencing and relationship building skills
  • Analytical and strategic thinking
This role is based in our Melbourne CBD Head Office and offers the opportunity to participate in an exciting time for the VIC/TAS Business Unit and CPB Contractors.
