About The Role

As our next Health and Wellbeing Compliance Officer based in our Brisbane head office, you will be required to contribute to health assessment management through the scheduling, coordination and follow up of pre-employment and periodical medicals.

In This Role, You Will Also Be Responsible For

  • Managing return to work cases
  • Managing pre-employment medical processes and supporting administrative processes (invoicing, budgeting, and quality) including liaison and distribution of administrative processes
  • Day to day review and oversight of contract performance, invoicing and qualitative reporting for all suppliers (health and medical)
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Supporting the investigation and analysis of incident and complex case management
  • Supporting recruitment and HR through statutory changes to the Order 43 process
  • Providing specialist advice on injury, illness and health management for non-work related cases

You may be required to travel to regional offices and mine sites.

About You

This role will best suit someone who is inquisitive, and solutions focussed who possesses:
  • Formal qualifications in occupational health management
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in an occupational health role
  • A minimum of five years’ medical case management experience
  • Five years of experience in operational mining, ideally at project level as well as in a corporate environment is preferred
  • Experience in risk management
  • Experience in using health and safety information management systems (for example AS or NZS 4801)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to engage, influence and communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word
