12-mth contract for Technical Consultant. Strong BPMN and data migration experience required

Your new company
Hays IT Brisbane are currently partnered with a major Local Council located in Brisbane.

We are seeking to appoint a Technical Consultant for an initial 12-month contract. This role will be primarily be on site, however, it also offers the opportunity to work remotely as well.

Your new role
In this role, you will join the Kerbside Asset Information System (KAIS) project which currently seeks to document and introduce processes and technology across Council that will; enable the capture and maintenance of the location data of kerbside assets; show the allocation types (including temporal differences) of kerbside space; and show the associated kerbside assets (e.g. signs and lines) that enable and allow enforcement of those allocation types.

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the following tasks:
• Capturing and analysing the current state and recommended options.
• Implementing the process changes and/or technology systems
• Bulk capturing of existing kerbside asset data
• Preparing and releasing to Open Data.

Core deliverables include; Business and Functional Requirements Specification; As Is’ and ‘To Be’ process maps; Design documents; Test Summary Report; Input into Quality Centre (or similar Testing Tool); RFP to market; Evaluation responses; and preparation of presentation to Review team

What you'll need to succeed
• Business process modelling using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) and IBM Blueworks
• Experience with business and functional requirements elicitation, management, and validation
• Experience with business rules elicitation, management, and validation
• Experience with API design including developing interface functional designs/data exchange agreements
• Experience with data migration and cleansing.

Previous experience in a similar role within Local or State Government would be highly advantageous.
