Senior Analyst - Risk Insights

We are looking for a Senior Analyst reporting to the Executive Manager to support Westpac across APS 221 Large Exposures reporting. This role is aligned to the APRA’s prudential standards on large exposures reporting as well as internal credit policies, associated systems processes and documentation.

This role will represent the Risk Reporting & Analytics business in the key decisions to be made as part of APS 221, perform monthly reporting and analytics work related to APS 221, support the business process and data point reviews.

How will I help?

  • Analyse APS 221 obligations and map out changed ARF data fields.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly ARF221 reporting tasks to meet internal/regulatory reporting needs.
  • Conduct monthly scrutiny meetings through an analytical approach to take stakeholders through the return prior to submission to regulators.
  • Assess current data model and identify data gaps along with other SMEs and Program team
  • To provide high quality advice in specific areas of expertise to the APS 221 program team from Risk Reporting & Analytics perspective

What do I need?

  • Proven experiences in a Data Analyst / Business Analyst capacity within Credit Risk area
  • Australian Banking experience preferably in Regulatory space (Prudential standards)
  • Stakeholder management / vendor management experience and working with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent proficiency in translating and analysing data
  • Presentation skills to high quality and speed: PowerPoint critical and other tools advantageous
  • A strong understanding of technology and business systems, strategically and operationally
  • Have a solid track record of stakeholder management and mobilisation towards the achievement of reporting objectives.
