There is now the need for a Development Manager to join the team as our residential development projects are advancing through to delivery stage.

The Development Manager will drive the delivery of projects including strategic planning, construction, execution, sales, marketing, monitoring and project close. As a member of the team you will be working closely with the Development Director, Senior Development Managers and Assistant Development Managers.

The role and snap shot of your accountabilities:

  • Projects are located in Sydney’s south west and north west, with predominate work location in Sydney CBD.
  • Manage planning, development approvals and delivery for one or more development projects. This includes master planning, rezoning, financial control, servicing approvals, construction, marketing and selling.
  • Day to day delivery of the project including consultants, meeting attendance, financial performance, reporting, budgeting, risk assessment, monthly reviews and cash flow.
  • Prepare and interpret financial feasibility models, budgets, cash flow analysis, project profit margins.
  • Assist the senior development team in achieving the commercial and performance outcomes of each development.
  • Understand the planning process in relation to master planned communities and subdivision projects.
  • Support the development team and provide mentoring and direction to Assistant Development Managers.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree qualified and or equivalent property development experience
  • Advanced computer literacy (MS word, MS project, Estate Master DF/DM, spreadsheets, email)
  • At least 6 years demonstrated experience in residential development/project management
  • Demonstrated successful experience in managing the complete land and property development process
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, strong communication skills and an ability to manage concurrent work tasks
  • Demonstrated understanding of the sales and marketing process
  • Desirable: experience with development approvals & delivery in Blacktown and Camden Local Government areas
  • Travel from Sydney CBD to project locations in Sydney south west and north west
  • Unrestricted drivers licence required
