The Opportunity:

We have a rare opportunity for two Service Engineers to join our Sydney based team on a full-time, permanent basis. These positions are well suited to individuals with 3-5 years’ experience who have experience working on robotic appliances, automated machinery, processing equipment and have the competency to work at our customer sites autonomously. The primary responsibility of these roles are to provide our customers with automation support via project, service, breakdown and maintenance work. Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Performing mechanical maintenance on Scott built machines and other equipment our clients may have
  • Working on robotic applications, automated machinery and processing equipment
  • Using workshop machinery to produce mechanical parts
  • Installing commissioned machines, local, interstate and international
  • Performing breakdown maintenance as required
  • Providing technical assistance to project and other service engineers
  • Working with the rest of the Scott team to ensure the sharing of ideas and knowledge.

You will have:

  • The right to live and work permanently in Australia
  • A qualified Fitter & Turner or Mechanical Technician – trade certificate
  • Experience working on robotic applications, automated machinery and processing equipment
  • Demonstrated ability in welding (MIG & TIG); operation of lathes, mill, drill and other plant
  • The ability to learn new computer, robot or PLC software
  • Prior experience working independently at customer facilities
  • The flexibility to travel as required
