JOB DESCRIPTION

A terrific opportunity exists within our equity research team to work alongside high-performing analysts and build upon your existing analysis and market knowledge.

As an Equities Research Analyst covering small companies across a range of industries, you will work closely with senior colleagues, writing sector publications and company research reports. You’ll utilise your financial analysis and modelling skills, assist with research on specific companies, or major issues affecting stock pricing. As there will be considerable exposure to our clients, you will join the team and attend marketing presentations as well as senior company management briefings and client meetings.

Given the nature of the role and the client exposure, it’s important you are engaging and team-orientated. We’re looking to attract commercially-minded, highly numerate and literate applicants with the capability to take on greater stock covering responsibility as your career develops.

Ideally, you’ll bring 2 + years direct experience in the Australian markets as an equities analyst. Alternatively you may be working in either a Chartered Accounting environment, consulting or investor relations. You’ll be confident in financial analysis/modelling, capable in valuations and have a good understanding of a balance sheet/P&L. You’ll need to hold appropriate tertiary qualifications, and these could include accounting, finance, economics or engineering and be able to demonstrate a stable, yet progressive career to date. CA or CFA will be highly-regarded, although not essential.

If you are interested in this outstanding opportunity, you’ll need to submit a covering letter, concise resume and academic transcripts as one Word or PDF-formatted document.
