We are currently seeking a Merchandise Manager to manage and coordinate all merchandising operations to effectively promote Panthers Rugby League.

Your Main Duties and Responsibilities include, however are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the day to day operations of the Merchandise department;
  • Managing and developing a small merchandise team;
  • Selling merchandise and processing transactions accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Managing in-store stock levels and the presentation of the store;
  • Liaising, communicating and coordinating timely delivery of stock;
  • Managing overall operations of all merchandise outlets at BlueBet Stadium on home game days;
  • Overseeing merchandise and implementing changes when needed to further increase revenue and sales;
  • Liaise with NRL Licensing to ensure club works within guidelines;
  • Generating merchandise reports and forecasts including financial reporting;
  • Carry out research and analysis on the market to facilitate decision making and benchmarking and;
  • Communicate and maintain relationships with a diverse range of customers, suppliers and internal employees.

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

  • 3 years’ experience in a retail merchandise role, preferably sports merchandising;
  • Experience in managing, coaching and developing a merchandise team;
  • Inventory and Merchandise Financial management experience;
  • Knowledge and understanding of sports licensing;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing and Business is desirable;
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude and;
  • An interest in sport, particularly Rugby League, would be advantageous.

To succeed in this role, you will have a management background with hands on experience in retail merchandising. We are seeking a passionate self-starter who has advanced computer skills, strong problem solving and analytical skills with exposure to some strategy planning. You will be a team player with strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

You will be required to be flexible and reliable as you will need to be available to work when required including nights, weekends, week days, public holidays and game days in order to meet the business and operational needs.
