Glendell is an open cut coal mining operation located 15 minutes north of Singleton in New South Wales with an Open Cut and Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP) that provides high quality coal for the export market.

Reporting to the Reliability Engineer the key focus of this role is to oversee the maintenance scheduling, planning, budget forecasting and safety management within the Maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities will include;
  • Scheduling of maintenance inspections and servicing events.
  • Asset Planning – Long and short term.
  • Working with key stakeholders to achieve projected outcomes.
  • Identify and implement methods of work to improve processes and equipment efficiency.
  • The supervision of contractors performing specialised projects including shutdowns.
To be successful, candidates will have a related trade or engineering qualification (mechanical or electrical) supported by skills in project management or equivalent, with experience centred on heavy mobile equipment maintenance planning.

Demonstrated success with the development of computerised maintenance management systems (SAP and Xeras) will be highly regarded, along with experience with forecasting operating and capital maintenance budgets.

To be successful you will require;

A trade certificate (mechanical/electrical) or tertiary qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated exposure to computerised maintenance management systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP.
  • Equipment knowledge on Caterpillar and/or Hitachi mobile equipment.
  • Industry experience or similar mining equipment and/or plant maintenance role.
  • Previous experience in similar role.
