Lycopodium are looking for a motivated and innovative Lead Process Engineer to join our expanding team.

With international offices in Africa, Australia, Canada and the Philippines, Lycopodium proudly delivers high quality professional engineering and project delivery services globally, across the mining and metals; infrastructure and process industries.

Due to a growing level of secured studies and projects we are looking for a Lead Process Engineer to join our Brisbane team.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager - Brisbane, the successful applicant will be a key stakeholder in concept, pre-feasibility, feasibility studies and executed projects. Responsibilities will include oversight and completion of metallurgical testwork design and execution, flowsheet development, operating cost development, PIDs, study reports, supervision and mentoring of junior process engineers, process plant commissioning and optimisation.

What You’ll Bring

  • Relevant tertiary education qualifications in Engineering (Chemical, Minerals Processing or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years of operations experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering design or consulting experience.
  • Demonstrated credentials in process engineering design for studies and detailed design.
  • Excellent written, communication and supervisory skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing high quality service to clients within budget and time constraints.
  • Willingness to travel (within and outside Australia) on short-term assignments ranging up to 8 week cycles when commissioning process plants.
  • Willingness to travel (within and outside Australia) on short-term assignments for site support and key client engagement.
  • Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients.
  • Ability to work with mining operations to identify opportunities and win work for the business.
  • Proactively seek continuous improvement in process engineering solutions and design with a focus on new technologies and innovation.
  • Driven and determined to achieve objectives through continued professional development.
  • Experience in gold, base metals ore or lithium processing preferred.
