To continue our success, our Quaker Oats team in Forrestfield - WA has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Packing Machine Operator to plan, organise and control the functions of the Packing operations in order to meet the shift production schedules at optimum cost consistent with accepted standards of safety, quality, productivity and reliability.

You Will Be

  • Ensuring that pre-operational equipment & process checks are completed and documented daily, and any issues identified are addressed prior to start-up
  • Maintaining and controlling the operation of metal detection systems during production periods, including the initial calibration, routine operational checks, identification of any metal detected, and the associated documentation required.
  • Monitoring and controlling the packing process, so that production is within Company and Customer specification and quality requirements are always met.
  • Adjusting packing equipment for optimum output and to minimise unscheduled downtime, ensuring scheduled production plans are achieved.
  • Participating in packing hall cleaning activities

You Will Have

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Previous experience with production machine operation within a food manufacturing environment
  • Experience with SAP advantageous
  • Mechanically minded individual with a high aptitude in automated equipment operation
  • An understanding of HACCP and GMP with strong attention to detail, safety and reliability
  • A flexible and energetic approach to ensure the job gets done right the first time whilst maintaining safe working techniques
  • A commitment to achieving team goals whilst being able to work autonomously
  • Motivation with a fresh and lively hunger to learn new skills, challenge yourself and progress your career
  • Confidence with high-level communication skills and the ability to facilitate cohesive working relationships across numerous departments on shift
