About The Role

Reporting to the manager – Incident & Emergency Management, this role is responsible for actively supporting and guiding Incident Managers in their role during the Prepare and Response phases of Major Incidents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the training, continual improvement, and support of Incident Management Systems to ensure the business has efficient and effective systems to enable it to meet the objectives of the Level 2 Process “Manage Incidents”.
  • Identify and implement change requirements, through:
  • Engagement with IT and the vendor;
  • Developing process mapping for changes; and
  • Ensure User Acceptance Testing is completed in Test and Production environments
  • Coordinate continual improvement of the system, including receiving, recording, prioritising, evaluating, and implementing user feedback.
  • Support Incident Directors (GM Level) and Incident Managers (RM Level) during the conduct of Major Incidents by the development of Aims and Corporate Objectives in the initial phase of Response

Key Skills And Experience
  • Substantial experience in operating and supporting IT business management systems, applications and processes in a multi-function state-wide organisation.
  • Considerable experience with or a capability of acquiring knowledge of incident management theory and practice.
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, particularly in regards to system maintenance and improvement
  • Demonstrated ability in maintaining successful business relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing training content and facilitating training sessions
  • Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Significant computing skills, knowledge of Microsoft and corporate software applications, WebEOC and MadCap Flare suite of products
  • Experience with HTML
