  • $47.11 per hour plus super
Randstad has partnered with a State Government department to source a Finance HR Advisor.

The role provides support to the Senior Accountant and Senior HR Advisor in ensuring the smooth operations of finance and HR functions within the Commission by providing operational advice, support and assistance with creating and updating procedures and/or policies relevant to the Finance and HR functions.

Key accountabilities
  • Undertake timely and accurate data processing, raising purchase orders and invoice requests, goods receipting, processing invoices for payment
  • Assist with month and year-end processing, including the preparation for review of accrual and other general journals to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of the Commission’s financial obligations and compliance
  • Assist the Senior Accountant to respond to requests for financial information, including requests from auditors, the wider department and internal staff to ensure timely provision of information, compliance and accurate record keeping relating to financial matters
  • Assist in the development, implementation and operation of a comprehensive range of human resource capabilities across the Commission, including policies, processes, reporting and projects related to the HR function to improve the efficiency of the HR department and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Provide first level HR advice to staff, including interpretation of industrial instruments and recommendations as required
Key knowledge and experience
  • Experience in processing accounts payable, general journals, and preparing financial reconciliations.
  • Demonstrated experience in Public Sector Human Resource functions, including payroll and interpretation of industrial instruments.
