Clinical Sales Specialist – Acute Therapies Business - Queensland (QLD), Australia

The Role

Through efficiency, innovation, value and a safer healthcare environment, our Acute Therapies Business has experienced continued success, being the market leader in Continuous Renal Replacement Therapies (CRRT) in Intensive Care Units (ICU) across Australia and New Zealand. As a result of an internal promotion, a rare and exciting opportunity has become available to join our specialist ANZ Baxter Renal team as a Clinical Sales Specialist within our Acute Therapies Business.

We are seeking a Clinical Sales Specialist that can deliver designated territory Sales targets and other related Key Performance Indicator targets (KPI) through sales process, effective account management, introduction, delivery, implementation and support of commercially competitive customer offerings by highlighting and selling the clinical benefits of Baxter products and services and their potential to improve patient outcomes. In addition, you will be clinically supporting our range of CRRT products already established within the QLD ICU environment.

In this role, you will continue to foster strategic business partnerships with Intensivists, Intensive Care Nurses and other clinical staff in the ICU and across the hospitals within QLD. The Territory is divided between two Clinical Sales Specialists. This is a great opportunity to work and develop experience in a dynamic healthcare company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery of Sales and other KPI targets for Baxter Acute Therapies within the defined geographical territory. Actively prospecting, planning, implementing, closing and evaluating sales opportunities throughout the entire sales cycle.
  • Support the education/training requirements of Health Care Professionals in the Baxter Acute Therapies portfolio. Ensures all training sessions are in line with the overall territory and business strategies.
  • Effectively implements and executes the relevant marketing / sales strategy as required. Managing accounts within the allocated territory to maximize sales by identifying and pursuing growth opportunities, ensuring delivery of both commercially competitive offerings and superior customer service.
  • Travel and assistance within other territories within Australia and New Zealand may be required from time to time.
  • Acute Therapies: On-call (24 hours) clinical support is a requirement of the role and is rostered accordingly across the team. An allowance is paid for on-call work.

Key Requirements Of The Role Include
  • A nursing or science degree or equivalent.
  • A learning attitude and a drive to develop your sales acumen.
  • Relevant clinical experience preferably in an Intensive Care Unit.
  • A background in selling or clinically supporting medical devices will be highly regarded.
  • Solid commercial awareness focused on building relationships with key healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills geared toward relationship building.
  • A zeal to work with a fun group of colleagues in a proactive team.
  • Have a passion for solving customer needs and creating win/win solutions.
  • Current drivers’ licence.
