JOB DESCRIPTION

Ultra Coral Australia is a World Leading Supplier of sustainably sourced, Premium Rare & Exotic Australian Coral Colonies and Marine Logistical Services for industry & Government on the Great Barrier Reef, based in Sarina and Mackay, Australia.

Ultra Coral Australia Pty Ltd requires an experienced Electronic Instrument Technician to install, maintain and repair electronic and electric equipment and systems like electronically controlled pump, lights controller, dosing pumps at our facility.

Key skills required for this position include:

  • Inspecting and testing company equipment, instruments and control systems to diagnose faults.
  • Repairing, adjusting and replacing dilapidated and malfunctioning parts.
  • Testing, operating, adjusting and reassembling equipment.
  • Demonstrate high-level troubleshooting skills and problem solving skills
  • Accurately diagnosing faults safely, efficiently and in accordance with established practices, systems and processes.
  • Assembling, installing, testing, calibrating, modifying and repairing electrical equipment to conform with regulations and safety requirements
  • Proactively communicating with managements of Ultra Coral Australia to ensure they are aware of any potential to impact on the ability to deliver the product within agreed parameters.
  • Creating Standard Operating Procedures and informing users of the precise procedures.
  • Fitting electronic gadgets and control systems.
  • Maintaining and approving the organisations control systems.
  • Team player with great communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum trade Certificate III in Electronics/ Electronics & Communications or Electrical
  • Proficient use of hand tools & hand power tools
  • High level of computer skills – MS Office, CRM, technical software experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years industry experience – Ability to work in a small team environment and demonstrate a hands on approach
  • Current unrestricted drivers licence

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Previous experience in work with coral, or a passion for coral and home aquaria and coral knowledge
  • Ability to work in Australia
