About our Opportunity:
We have an immediate permanent opportunity for a Technical Publications Officer to provide highly specialised support to various Nova client projects encompassing maritime platforms.
You will be a part of a highly valued capability with the ability to coordinate the review, validation and verification of technical publications, as prepared by the Acquisition Contractor, including but not limited to Maintenance Manuals, Operator Manuals, Document Trees.

A Consultant for Nova provides advice and technical solutions to clients, generally in a project setting - solving their complex challenges. As our client’s needs are ever evolving, you can expect variety and diversity in the support you provide.

You could expect that no day, client or project is the same. A consultant’s duties are often changing based on the project (or multiple projects) requirements, the needs of the client, or the business tasks available.

This means that whilst you may be engaged for a primary skill set initially, consultants need to be flexible enough to meet changing client requirements. In effect the work we perform varies and provides a level of diversity to our people.

You will typically provide support in the following areas;
Billable work supporting clients;
Non-Billable work supporting other areas of the Nova Group;
Providing support at times outside your core skill area;
Stakeholder engagement and management;
Business Development and Bid Writing.

What you will be involved with:
Experience and understanding of the Technical Publications used in Defence and SPO’s;
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
Good understanding of ILS processes through acquisition and sustainment is desirable;
RAN service experience desirable;
CASG Project Office experience desirable;
Must be eligible to view US Export Controls technical data.

What we would like from you:
AUST Citizen with an NV1 clearance preferred;
ASDEFCON experience desirable;
Have a technical background (Defence trades highly regarded) with exposure to technical publications;
Experience in a Defence Maritime Project setting (preferred);
Experience with ship building programs desirable;
Must be eligible to view US Export Controls technical data;
Have excellent interpersonal skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build rapport with our clients;
Be a team player with a can-do attitude.
