What will you do?

Our Sydney team is currently undertaking some of the most significant city shaping projects within the NSW region. As a result of continued growth, we are looking for a Ground Engineering Specialist to continue grow our geotechnical capability in Sydney.


Joining our Transport Land and Water team in Sydney, this pivotal position will see you leading a variety of key infrastructure projects and create valuable solutions to shape NSW infrastructure. This is an exciting time to join Aurecon as part of a team of specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients.


This is a unique opportunity for an accomplished individual to take their career to the next level in a key leadership role. We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and it’s the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart.


Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’:


  • Lead geotechnical/ground engineering inputs to D&C infrastructure projects
  • Continue to grow our Ground Engineering capability in NSW with proven work winning based on existing relationships with key clients
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to less experienced colleagues
  • Partner with other disciplines to develop strategies and opportunities and work collaboratively to lead integrated project teams
  • Build effective and enduring relationships with other teams in the region, other Aurecon offices and external organisations
  • Continue to develop and maintain positive client relationships
  • Management of project planning and resourcing activities and provide technical input to client proposals and tenders

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future.


This role is ideally suited to a Chartered Engineer with relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in the field of ground engineering, including significant knowledge of the NSW transport market. Excellent analytical and technical skills sought. 


This role calls for proven project management background, ensuring projects are delivered on time, budget and to high quality. The ideal candidate will communicate and collaborate with others and demonstrate safety leadership in every interaction.
