JOB DESCRIPTION

Ruckus Energy Co. is a Sydney based start up turning retail fuel on its head. We provide a fuel membership program for consumers and businesses wanting to buy fuel at cost price. Our members collect their fuel at conventional 3rd party service stations (and soon, our own sites) using our new smartphone app. Over time, we plan to transition our customer base to an EV charging solution and also to provide the first carbon offset fuel offer.

We are growing fast and have an immediate need for a digital marketing specialist to join our team of founders. We are looking for someone who is not only driven and proactive, but has a strong sense of fun and is ready to help us make a Ruckus as we disrupt Big Oil. Ideally, the role will be suited to someone who wants to develop their career into a leadership position as our company grows, but who's also ready to roll their sleeves up and be hands-on when required.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for growing membership subscriptions through digital media through designing and executing marketing campaigns. After campaigns have been launched, you will extract and analyze data across multiple channels.

Capabilities



  • Marketing with a focus on digital marketing – in particular, experience in campaign strategy development, implementation (including content generation), execution, optimisation and reporting of key digital marketing channels including paid social, display advertising, email marketing and owned social audience
  • Strong technical skills in Facebook Campaign Manager, Google Ads, Canva (or similar)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Data analysis and reporting skills
  • Highly organised and strong planning skills
  • Hands-on - you'll be joining a small team, so you'll be expected to roll up your sleeves and pitch in, particularly when going on-site and/or out into the community to promote Ruckus.


Role accountabilities


Marketing Strategy

  • Collaborate with Executive Leadership Team to enhance the marketing strategy for Ruckus Energy Co, with a focus on digital marketing

Digital Marketing

  • Implement agreed digital marketing tactics within approved budget, including, (1) Manage Ruckus owned social media channels and presence, generating content, (2) Develop presence in aligned social media groups, (3) Develop relationships with influencers and seek exposure to Ruckus, (4) Develop content for paid social advertising and implement within approved budget, (5) Generate direct emails to Ruckus customers (automate welcome emails and maintain points of contact)

Conventional marketing

  • Generate and arrange printing of traditional advertising materials within budget
  • On-site marketing activities and community visits
  • Direct marketing, such as ringing, mailing or emailing prospects

Customer service

  • Assist with customer facing aspects of on-boarding of new sites participating in the Ruckus program
  • Respond to customer queries received via app or on social
  • Proactively check in on customers

Data analysis

  • Update Ruckus app metrics as relevant to marketing activities daily/weekly/monthly



Experience and qualifications

  • Degree in marketing or similar 
  • 2+ years’ experience in digital marketing for a consumer facing organisatio
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
