At Optus Business Centre Melbourne South we service a significantly large territory of businesses, and as local business owners ourselves we are committed to helping other businesses grow and innovate. We offer professional advice, technical expertise and comprehensive whole of business solutions. We not only own a strong existing client base to nurture, but a huge amount of opportunities to bring on new business and grow the Optus brand. We have strategically planned and prepared for this momentous change and we are ready to triumph and require two more energetic and proactive individuals to join our dynamic, high-performing team!

Who we are looking for:

Finding the right individuals for our business is our upmost priority as we need someone who is committed, accountable and wants to grow. You would work well in our strong and positive team environment but will be able to work independently and efficiently as we believe in autonomy. We value team collaboration and your input in business decisions and strategies. Your driven work ethic will build you a close relationship with all of your designated Optus clients, focusing on SMB (small to medium business customers) as well as generating new business through tenacious prospecting and appointment setting to build a strong pipeline for future growth and sales. Telco experience and ICT product knowledge is preferred but your ambitious spirit will drive you to exceed monthly sales targets consistently and empower you to uplift your capabilities for success with the support of the team.

We have multiple roles available for immediate start:

  • Telesales x 3
  • Account Managers x 1
  • Business Development Manager (Sales Executive) x 1


Our roles focus on maintaining strong relationships with our customers through outstanding customer service based on whole of business solutions, maintaining and growing your customer base through account management as well as acquiring new business. 

  • Meeting and exceeding sales and holistic business targets
  • Take the initiative to acquire your own leads and set appointments through prospecting new business’ and find new clients to grow your own pipeline 
  • Preparing future sales via the pipeline to be successful for later months to ensure targets are constantly being met.
  • Have strong organisational skills to ensure your pipeline and customer data base is kept up to date with accurate information and ensure tasks are prioritised 
  • Utilising and growing our digital marketing channels to connect with our customers and acquire new business.
  • Extensive knowledge on Optus (or other Telco) SMB and ICT products and expertise is preferred
  • Data driven and analytical to gain insights for performance improvements and sales opportunities
  • Compliant with Optus and our internal processes and procedures.
  • Fully engaged with our team culture and ways of working. 

Skills and Experience:

  • Telco experience preferred but can learn and adapt quickly
  • Proven experience in achieving sales targets whilst dealing with competing priorities
  • Proven excellent customer service and relationship building skills
  • Pipeline Management - proven ability to build and expand your Business Customer Pipeline
  • A competitive spirit with the engagement of being a part of a high performing team
  • Impressive communication skills with both customers and the team.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to problem solve and share new ideas with the team to create positive changes
