What we are looking for

We are looking for a highly results driven, strategically focused, and experienced Business Development Manager to take our Automotive Aftermarket sales to the next level.

This full-time position will be based in Queensland and will be responsible for driving sales, market share and profitability. Working from your home office and with our Head Office located in Melbourne, you will be reporting to the National Sales Manager (Automotive) on a day to day basis and will have the support of the product management and technical team.

Your main priority would be to identify and secure new opportunities in the Automotive Aftermarket space as well as managing and developing the relationships with our existing customer base and distributors. In addition, you will be responsible for carrying out marketing, promotional and end user growth plans.

The expectation of growth and aggressively growing new business opportunities within our distributor base and various automotive market segments will make this role both challenging and highly rewarding.

Your Experience & Qualifications

It is expected that you have achieved a sustained high level of success in a similar role within a comparable industry. Due to the technical nature of this position, experience working in mechanical background would be advantageous.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience, 3 of which in field sales, in a similar industry with focus experience in servicing Automotive customers at a State Sales level would be highly regarded. Moreover, proven superior sales experience & business development will be crucial if you are to succeed in this role.

You must have strong interest and passion in Automotive. Advantageous would be experience in the automotive aftermarket and particular demand creation with mechanical workshops as well established relationships with key automotive distributors but this is not essential.

You must have a current QLD driver's license, as travel within the State will be required to meet customer requirements. This QLD based position will involve intra-state travel of 1-2 weeks per month; however, this is flexible and dependent on the applicant’s knowledge and ability to service the greater QLD region.


A business, marketing, or mechanical degree or recognised trade qualification would be desirable but not essential.
