The Executive Director, Marketing is responsible for marketing the best of South Australia to ensure a growth in South Australia’s Visitor Economy. The position is responsible for the strategic leadership of four Units; Digital Marketing, Domestic Marketing, Global Markets, and Public Relations. The ability to inspire, influence, and provide leadership to intrastate, interstate, and international tourism stakeholders is essential. 

As a member of the SATC Executive Leadership team this position is responsible for the development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of the South Australian Tourism Plan along with SATC’s strategic and operational planning processes. 

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the marketing of South Australia as a destination through the planning and management of strategic and tactical marketing campaigns 
  • Ensuring utilisation of new technologies to provide innovative ways of communicating to market
  • Overseeing the planning of SATC’s consumer marketing initiatives and making recommendations on traditional and non-traditional distribution channels for the various initiatives.
  • Effectively managing communication between the SATC and Industry Partners such that SATC can deliver its growth strategy and support and promote tourism business development.
  • Advising, briefing, and making recommendations to the Chief Executive, SATC Board and Government Communications Advisory Committee on opportunities and issues related to consumer marketing and the management of Brand South Australia 
  • Providing advice to SATC Executive Leadership team decision making processes.
  • Ensuring the leadership and development of staff to support achievement of strategic direction and business objectives

The role will be offered as a three (3) year, full time Executive contract.
